“A lecture on 'Coral Polyps and Their Work was given by the Curator (Mr F.R. Rowley) in the College Lecture Room on Saturday evening. The lecture was one of a short series on natural history subjects, which it is hoped to continue during the coming session.

In giving a description of Mr [Stanley] Gardiner's views respecting the formation of the Maldives, the lecturer expressed his indebtedness to him for the loan of a number of lantern slides illustrating some of the most interesting features of the reefs and islands in that region. [...]”
