“This was a very interesting account by Miss Drake of a walk along the route, known as the Pilgrims' Way, from Winchester to Canterbury. This ancient path was trodden through many centuries by pilgrims from the west, on their way to the shrine of St Thomas à Becket in Canterbury Cathedral. [...]
A series of lantern slides, lent by the Southern Railway Company and shown by Mr W.T. Aviolet, provided excellent illustrations of the 'Way,' and the surrounding countryside.
