The lecturer described fully the four-fold metamorphosis undergone by members of the order Lepidoptera, in passing from the egg-stage to the perfect insect, the differences between the characters and habits of moths and butterflies, and the methods by which various enemies of the members of this order attack and destroy their prey.”
