Mr A.O. Rowden – An account of observations to determine the frequency of the Nightingale in Devon, made during the early summer months of the present year. These resulted in the location of 12 pairs of birds, established at various points around Exeter.
Both papers were illustrated by lantern slides showing birds, eggs and nests actually seen. Finally, a gramophone record of a Nightingale singing in Surrey was listened to with interest.
”“[Following a lengthy account of the lecture content]
The papers were illustrated by a series of lantern slides showing birds, nests and eggs, and finally a gramophone record of the song was listened to with pleasure.
”The papers by Rousham and Rowden appear to have been presented individually, as part of a longer meeting programme.
