“The nests described were those of Wasps and birds found in the Exeter district and successfully photographed by the Lecturer.

Rowden gave a highly interesting lecture before members of the Exeter Field Club and Natural History Society, entitled 'Nest Hunting with a Camera,' illustrated by numerous lantern slides from his own negatives and embodying observations made in the course of years of Nature study. At the conclusion, the President (Mr W.T. Aviolet) proposed a vote of thanks to the lecturer [...]. The vote was heartily accorded, and thanks to Mr F.R. Rowley, who acted as lanternist, were added thereto.
