“Paper by Mr C. Berry, F.R.H.S., on 'Root Environment in Relation to the Health of Trees and Flowers.' This was followed by a lecture, on 'Fossils and their use in Stratigraphical Geology,' by Mr F. Collins, F.G.S., illustrated by lantern slides, and by the series of fossils from the local Culm measures recently presented by the lecturer to R.A.M. Museum. The chair was taken by the President.”
