“A well-attended Temperance meeting was held in the Mission Room, on Cold Fair Green, on Tuesday. Mr. Abbey, the Diocesan Secretary of the CETS, gave an interesting lantern address on various subjects in connection with this important work. The number of total abstainers has been gradually increasing since he opened this Branch, rather more than three years ago. The collection (15s. 9d.) was for the Diocesan funds”
