“St. Martin's, Birmingham, is reputed to have the oldest juvenile branch in the town. At the annual tea, a few days ago, the chairman (Dr. Wilkinson), hon. sec. (Miss Ratcliffe), and the deputation (the Rev. Kipling Cox) occupied the same relative positions at the first meeting in the same room about ten years ago. Readings, songs, a short food lecture, and a magic lantern Exhibition, made up a most enjoyable and instructive entertainment for the children, their parents, and frends.”
