“On the 23rd Mr. Acworth gave a series of Temperance stories illustrated by dissolving views; the chief was Mr. Kirton's 'Buy your own Cherries' which was enthusiastically received by the audience. The room was well filled and four joined the Abstaning Section of the Society at the close, three working men and one woman.”
