“West Brompton - The Railway Mission, Lillie-road, has just held ist New Year's tea and distribution of prizes. The proceedings occupied two evenings, the one being reserved for seniors and the other for the younger children. Both were alike, most successful occasions. 'The Recorder' stated that there wer 40 teachers on the books, and that the average attendance of scholars was 324. Lady Napier distributed the prizes, which numbered 64. A musical programme was provided for the seniors, and a lantern lecture for the little ones.”
