“[following a description of a paper by A.W. Clayden - see Lucerna 7000964]
Mr J. Stephens [sic] followed with a graphic description of the life-history of one of the most beautiful of the Rotifera or wheel animalcules (Stephanoceros eichhornii). Illustrating his remarks by a series of lantern slides, Mr Stevens briefly described the structure of [the female and male of the species]. Living specimens of the female from the Exeter Canal were shown under microscopes, and added greatly to the interest of the paper.
”This paper was given as the second one of three during an evening meeting of the RAMC Field Club.
