“Sheerness-On-Sea - Bethel Congregational Sunday Schools - These schools celebreated their annual soirees on Tuesday, Wesdnesday, and Thursday last, tea being provided each evening, the first for adults, the other evenings for scholars. After tea, the usual dissolving view entertainments were given, illustrating 'Rambles through Cornwall' and other miscellanous scenes, some of local production. The views were describedby the Rev. C. F. Bone (pastor), and Mr. W. T. Rule (superintendent).”
