“Northhampton - The first of the winter evening gatherings in connection with the Kettering-road Primitive Methodist Sunday School took place on Thursday week. A tea was provided in the school-room. There were about 100 present. Subsequently a lecture was given in the chapel by the Rev. G. Parkin, M.A., B.D., his subject being 'St. Paul in rome'. The lecture was illustrated by limelight apparatus of the Sunday School Union, Mr. Gray ably manipulating the lantern. The views were fine, and at the close some other views of local interest &c. were shoen. Mr. Loveday presided over a large audience.”
