“Hackney - Cambridge Heath - The young ladies of Miss M. A. Luttman and Miss Graff's classes in the Morley Hall Sunday Schools recently held a drawing-room sale of their work to raise funds for the entertainment of poor children at several places in the locality. From the money raised they were enabled to provide the following: On Feb. 4th more than 100 children were invited to a good hot dinner in the Well-street Mission Hall and on Feb. 14th a similar dinner to about 150 children in the Dove-row Mission Hall, Haggerstone. Each evening there were dissolving views and music provided for the children's entertainment. On March 13th a tea was given in the lecture-hall of the church to more than 100 children, followed by songs and recitations, and on Moday 18th, a tea was given to 200 poor children in the Abbey-street Mission Scholls, Bethnal Green. Mr. Wise jun., kindy gave a magic lantern entertainment for their amusement.”
