A variety of beautiful and amusing slides were also exhibited at the close. On the previous evening, the infants, to the number of 160, were entertained with a good tea, and were afterwards amused with various games and a magic lantern. Before leaving the hall Miss Barnes, the teacher presented each child with a beautifully dressed doll for the girls and balls and horses for the boys.”
