“Gifford Hall Mission. - The last of the New Year's entertainments to the scholars was given last Thursday, when upwards 200 scholars with teachers and friends took part in a most enjoyable sociable, the Hall being converted into a drawing-room for the occasion, and the entertainment partaking the charachter of an evening party. In the previous week the boys and the girls were invited to tea separately, after which there were various amusements, and an exhibition of a series of splendid dissolving views from the Sunday School Union, kindly and very pleasantly explained by Mr. C. Burt, one of the Committee.”
