“Poplar. - Primitive Methodist Sunday School. - On Thursday, Feb. 3rd, a tea was given to the whole of the scholars in connection with this school, when over 300 children sat down. The provisions were given by Mr. T. R. Gleghorn, Mr. Colton, and Mrs. Gilley. After tea a lecture was given in the chapel entitled, 'Little Nell,' illustrated by splendid views from a powerful lantern by Mr. A. Warren. At the close the superintendent distributed prizes of books for the Scipture essays.”
