“Wolverton. - Congregational Sunday School. - On Sunday morning, Dec 26th, a special children's service was held at the above place of worship, when the children sang special 'Christmas hymns, and the pastor, the Rev. James Holmes, preached a children's sermon. On the following Tuesday a magic lantern was exhibited to the children and friends of the school. The Rev. James Holmes gave the readings and descriptions, which included instructive and amusing subjects.”
