“Whitehaven - Presbyterian Church - On Monday evening week the school-room of this church presented an appearance peculiarly pleasing, being decorated with mistletoe, holly and numerous flags. Upwards 100 children sat down to tea. A magic lantern entertainment followed, which, in the hands of Mr. G. Nichol, contributed to the merriment of those present. Readings and recitations filled up the remainder of a successful programme. ”
