“Portsmouth - Sunday School Aniversary. The annual tea meeting in conjunction with the Circus Sunday School took place on Tuesday evening, Dec. 30th, in the school-room, Surrey-street, when there were about 400 present, and the Rev. C. J. Martin presided. After tea a series of dissolving views were exhibited, the connective readings being given by the Rev. J. Edge. Addresses were delivered by several gentlemen, and appropiate hymns were sung.”
