“Bingley - A very successful sale of work was held in the Assembly-room of the above school, during Christmas week, for the purpose of raising money towards a debt of £180 resting on the school. It was opened on the Tuesday, by Mr. James Rennie Foster, of Bradford, and realized £70. In addition to this sum, there were subscriptions amounting to £20; so that the committee are now in a position to pay off £80 of the debt. Mr. J. R. Foster gave a series of magic lantern entertainments gratuitously during the week, which were much appreciated and were extremely good. Other entertainments as well as selections of music at intervals were also given. ”
