“On Wednesday, Jan. 5th the children of the above school, numbering 230, were provided with tea and cake, after which they were entertained with a magic lantern, followed by recitations by several of the scholars, which, with a 'Bran Pie' for infants, contributed to make it a very pleasant evening.”
