“Sunday School - On Monday, Jan 18th, there was a social meeting of the parents and scholars, when over 120 sat down to tea, after which about 250 persons listened to a lecture, entitled 'America', illustrated with panoramic views, given by Mr. G. B. Chapman, from the Sunday School Union. The pastor, the Rec. A. King, giving a few words upon his visit to America, and the children singing appropriate pieces for the occasion brought the evening's entertainment to a successful close.”
