“Glasgow Western District - Statuary Business Meeting was held in St. Andrew's (Berkely) Hall on 31st May; when there was a full attendance; Mr. William L. Smith, president, in the chair. Full reports were reported regarding the Annual Meeting on 5th May, which had proved entirely successful in very respect, and a hearty espression of thanks was accorded to Mr. N. T. Mowat, convener, Public meetings Committee, to whom was due the credit for the complete arrangements made. Other business was routine, and was followed by a Conference on subject - Aims and Methods of Evangelistic Work'. Mr. W. W. Kidston, convener, National Union's Evangelistic Committe, opened the Conference, and dealt in a most comprehensive and interesting manner with the methods employed by his Committee to carry out the aims of the Union in this department of work among the young. He urged claims of Evangelistic Services as a valuable aid to class work, and dealt with the questions of child converion, convenant cards, advantages and drawings of lantern displays & c. The discussion which followed was well taken up and at the close. Mr. Kidstonwas warmly thanked for his address.”
