“Union's Musical Training Classes - These classes for teachers and senior scholars were resumed in the Christian Institute on Monday, 9th September, Ex-Bailie Fife, J. P., president , occupied the chair and briefly introduced Mr. D. A. Harley, A. C. R. O, of St. Matthew's U. F. Church, who lectured on 'The Life and Work of Handel'. The lecture was illustrated with about 40 lime-light views, was a most interesting one , and was attentively listened to by an audience which filled the hall. The new conductor (Mr. Alec Steven, L. R. A. M.) was introduced to the meeting (...)”
