“Livingstone Band of Hope.-A prayer meeting was held in Union Chapel, Woolwich, on Sunday morning, Sept. 21st, in connection with the Autumnal Conference Meeting of the Greenwich and West Kent Band of Hope Union. A sermon was also preached by Mr. Reed, bearing upon temperance work, from Jeremiah 21st c., last clause of 8th v., 'Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.' A dissolving view entertainment was also given by the committee of the Band of Hope on Thursday, Oct. 16th-subject, 'Animal Sagacity,'-which was very much appreciated.-W.D. Nightingale, Sec.”
