“The Exeter I. Van, with Capt. H. R. Steer and Mr. Walters, paid a visit to Bishop's Teignton, S. Devon, staying nearly three weeks. Although the weather was wet and stormy most of the time, the Lantern Services for children and adults (and even open-air services when possible) were well attended. The schoolroom was often crowded to overflowing. The Captain and his Cadet were unceasing in their labours, not only at the Services, but also in the house-to-house visitation. The Captain's straightforward, earnest addresses went home to the hearts of all his hearers, and were listened to with great attention. It was with great regret that Bishop's Teignton parted the Van, and they are now busily working to show their gratitude in a practical manner. ”
