“Peckham, St. Jude's.-Last Saturday our Vicar was with us in our open-air meeting, helping us in our speaking and singing. At our inside meeting our bandsmen were presented with thier C.A. Caps, which are trimmed with silver brail. Several soldiers who could not get to our last enrolment service were then presented with the Red Cord. by our Vicar, who thanked our brothers for their help to him in the parish by their C.A. work. On Sunday our Captain gave an address from Rom viii. 14. on Monday we had our last Magic Lantern Entertainment for the season. We wish to thank all the kinds friends who have helped us at these entertainments, and in other ways. One of our brothers is being instructed for baptism, and several members are preparing for confirmation. For Capt. Comer.”
