CLARKE, Captain   (fl. 1890s-1900s) – lecturer

Reference
Wilfred Buckle, W.T. Butterworth and Captain Shepley, ‘The Church's Holy War’ in Church Army gazette

“Eye. Herefordshire.- The several meetings held in this wide parish by Captain Clarke have been well attended and much appreciated. There are many who feel the love of christ more strongly now than they have ever done before. The Magic Lantern Services, held by the Vicar and the C.A, Captain, have brought home to several the meaning of the words, so often used, but so seldom realised 'Christ crucified for us'. (...) WILFRID G. BUCKLE, Vicar.”
