“Voyage of the Van. - For fifteen miles, in the face of heavy gale of wind and rain, our Van travelled across the hills and valleys of Hants, from Cheriton and Eastleigh. Here we stayed for ten days, and besides selling quantity of our books, & c., we gave a helping hand to Captain and Mrs. Moould, whom we found stationed there fighting against great difficulties. We held some good open-air services and also gave a ,magic lantern lecture, besides holding a gospel meeting every night at the Mission Church. We were sorry that, owing to the roads being flooded, the attendance was not so large as we should have desired. (...) J.M. CULLIN, Captain of the Van”
