“'Repairing the Church': Captain Prescott, of the Manchester II Van, has just completed a successful six weeks's mission here. A longer stay was made here on account of the Church being closed for alternations, etc. and entire control of the parish has been in the hands of the Captain and assistants (...). Lantern Lectures and mission meetings alike have been well attended , many people coming to the meetings who could not be persuaded to come to Church. (...)”
