“'The Largest House in the Neighborhood': On Tuesday evening we had the pleasure of going into the largest house in the neighborhood, viz. Workhouse, to entertain the old people. There were about seventy present, and it was a sight to see them singing and recitations by the choir of children. When singing was over, we had the lantern story, 'The Torn Bible', which recalled scenes, long past, to their memories, of wayward sons and daughters, and which filled their eyes with tears. (...)”
