“'A. l. & N. W. Van': Capt. Robinson and his helper, Bro. Walker have just concluded a three week's mission, a fortnight being devoted to Saltney, and a week to the L. & N.W. Railway settlement. (...) At the two Sunday evening services held in Mr. F. W. Marillier's garden, there was an average attendance of some 300. The services at Saltney Ferry were not so largely attended, except the lantern services held in the schoolroom, which was much appreciated and seemed to make considerable impression on many who were there. (...).”
