“'Unfurling the Flag': Our special Monday evenings are now ended, and we are very pleased with the large numbers who have attended. (...) Near the close of these Monday evening meeting our parish church choir gave us an evening of sacred music and singing (including the 'Story of the Cross') which was much appreciated. Our lantern service at the workhouse , just before Good Friday, was much appreciated by the inmates. (...) Our Good Friday evening lantern service in St. John's Mission Room brought a large congregation – some could not get in. The pictures of our Lord's suffering and death touched many a heart. (...)”
