“'A House without Roof': A C.A. Van has been here and in the neighbouring parishes, and was warmly welcomed. Much good has been done, few could listen to the earnest pleading and prayers of Capt. Lusted without feeling their need of change of heart. (...) The parish room was filled each night, the services being very hearty. The vicar was present. The Lantern Lectures on the Torn Bible, the Passion of our Lord, also the work of the C.A. Were most interesting and instructive. (...)”
