“'With Christ in Gethsemane': On Thursday last in the schoolroom, Church Street, we had a lantern service illustrating, 'The story of our salvation'. (...) Our first slide represented Christ's entry into Jerusalem which was the fulfilment of the prophecy of Zechariah. (...) Following slides illustrated the grief of Christ as He anticipated the awful end of Jerusalem for rejecting Him. Whilst we saw Christ at the supper table amongst 12 sinners we endeavoured to see more and more that Christ came into the world to save sinners. (...) As we saw the next picture of Christ washing the disciples' feet, we endeavoured to 'Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking be put away from us with all malice'. Our next picture brought us with Christ to the Garden of Gethsemane in prayer and for a few moments we joined Him. (...) whilst Christ was standing before Pilate we saw how that each soul has an individual dealing with Christ. (...)”
