Reference

“'Only One Regret': We had the Church Army Mission Van Ripon II in this parish for a fortnight and it gives me great pleasure to testify as to the way the mission has been conducted by Capt. Castle, assisted by Cadet Elmore and for one week by Cadet Hamilton. My one regret is that a longer visit of the Van had not been arranged the fortnight seems to have been so short. (...) The schoolroom was filled each night with large congregations, all listening with the greatest atttention to the earnest, thoughtful and manly addresses of Capt. Castle (...) The children's lantern lecture are a great feature and help to the missionm and the children will never forget the simple truths taught by them. (...)”
