“'Eyes, Ears and Hearts': The fifteen days' pioneer mission, conducted by Capt. Nichol with Nurse Parfitt, has done much to forward the work amongst the ever-increasing population in this parish, thought the daily services in the mission room were not as largely attended as the many promises encouraged to expect. The open-air lantern services appealed to the eyes, ears and hearts of very many who were drawn to them. (...).”
