“'A Blessing To the Corners': The Lichfield Van No. 2 came into our parish for two weeks. Open-air services were held in the village on the Sunday afternoons. During the first week, Capt. Crook gave an instructive reading with lantern illustrations, entitled, 'The torn Bible'. In the second week two lectures were delivered, illustrated with most excellent lantern slides on 'Church Army Work', and 'The Life of our Lord', with particular reference to the Sacraments of the Church. (...)”
