“'Ice Breaking': On Good Friday a lantern lecture was given by Canon Gee, in St. Anne's schoolroom, the subject being 'The Seven Last Words From the Cross'. It was well attended, and the lantern was manipulated by Capt. Anderson. On Easter Monday an excellent tea was provided, when about 90 sat down. (...) Later in the evening a lantern lecture was given by Capt. Anderson and Wilson, the subject being Church Army Work.”
