“'Wholesome and Pointed': The Church Army Van concluded a visit of a forthnight to this village, on Monday. The rector, Rev. Preb. Nicholson, welcomed the Van to the parish, and commenced its work to the prayers of the people. On one evening Capt. Hudson gave an account of the work of the Church Army in general, and on another the story of the 'Torn Bible' accompanied with lantern slides. (...)”
