Reference

“'Preaching in the Market Place': The St. Alban's C.A. Van with Capt. Taylor, and Bros. Cook and Morton has just finished a fortnight's most successful mission in the town. The services have been most enthusiastically attended in spite of the severe weather, particularly the lantern lectures, many people walking from the adjoining parishes of Sutton and Stambridge, where the Van had previously visiting. The mission opened with a lantern lecture on the work of the Church Army, and was crowded with an appreciative audience. (...) Capt. Taylor's earnest and pleasing lectures, adn the beautiful pictures on 'Life of our Lord' will linger in our hearts.”
