Owing to the goodwill of many kind friends a most excellent tea was provided at evry little cost. Gifts of cake, etc., and the loan of crockery, helped materially to lighten the expenses. After tea, to which about sixty sat down, the vicar entertained the company by showing his magic lantern. One or two friends then contributed solos, recitations, etc., andt at 9:30 the vicar brought the proceedings to a close by thanking Nurse Ballingall, and all who had assisted her. [...]”
