‘The Church's Holy War’ in Church Army gazette

“IN THE MOUTH OF TWO WITNESSES Penkridge, Staffs. - On the 14th ult., Capt. Hanson gave a most interesting account of the work of the Church Army, in the Hatherton Memorial Schools. The Vicar (Rev. W. T. Corfield) presided, and also kindly manipulated the magic lantern slides. Capt. Hanson's address was listened to with much attention, many of the features of the work of the Church Army being evidently new to his audience. The Captain's visit will undoubtedly bear fruit in arousing local interest in the work of the Army, and will encourage the quiet, but useful labours of Nurse Fitton, who is stationed at Penkridge. J. C. T.”
