“AMONG THE SHOEMAKERS Piddington. - A Church Army Tea was held at Piddington School Room, on Dec. 23, at which over 60 sat down to a free tea. An address was given by the clergyman, and hymns 41, 371 and 370 were sung. A lecture, illustrated by Magic Lantern, was then given by the Rev. D. Dewar, on Temperance Work and Sunday Closing; the room was crowded; admission free; but the collection in aid of the C.E.T.S. only amounted to 4s. 0¾d.”
