“HOLY CEMENT Maidstone, Holy Trinity. - On Thursday, 13th inst, we had our Fourth Annual Church Army Tea, kindly provided by our church workers, when about 160 sat down, and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. The tables looked quite bright with flowers, etc. After tea, we had a Magic Lantern Lecture, given by one of the Captains from Headquarters, entitled, 'The drunkard's home.' Our Vicar took the chair, and spoke most helpful words to us, urging others to come to the meetings, and by so doing furthering God's kingdom. We had our two Curates with us. We hope such gatherings will draw us each one nearer to our God and to each other. Nurse Rollinson.”
