“SAINTS IN THE WORKHOUSE North End, Driffield. - Recently, at our small North End Mission Room, our Choir gave the wellknown Service of Song - 'Mother's Last Words' - to a crowded but very interested audience, our kind friend, Mr. Robert Holtby, as usual, working the Lantern for us. We believe God owned and blessed the reading and singing to many hearts and lives; many were the tearful eyes as the people left the door of the Mission. The following Monday we thought we might cheer up the inmates of the Workhouse, and so by the kind permission of the Master we repeated it for their comfort and enjoyment. [...] Capt. Fred Hart.”
