“MORE THAN 20 THANKFUL SOULS Halliwell, Bolton, St. Thomas'. - An eight days' Mission has been conducted in our Acton Street Mission Room by Mr. Geo. Sutton, with most gratifying results. The room was filled to its utmost capacity nearly every night […] On Saturday, a Tea was held, when a good number attended. After tea, the Vicar (who always tries to be present) said how pleased he was to hear of the success which had attended the week's mission, and spoke a word of encouragement to those who had begun the new life, exhorting them to stand fast. The Captain then gave a Lantern Lecture, entitled ' John Tregenoweth, His Mark,' which proved very interesting. The Mission concluded on the Sunday evening. At the close of the Service, a Praise Meeting was held, when over twenty people thanked God for blessings received during the week. To God be all the glory. Capt. Lothian.”
