A. W. Foulkes, who recited for us; afterwards we had 'A Trip frim London to Carlisle,' illustrated by sixty limelight views. On Sunday, Capt. McLeod gave an address in the morning, 'David playing his harp before Saul,' showing to us the power of music has upon an evil heart. The Rev. A. W. Foulkes preaches in the evining from the text, 'Abide with us, for it is towards evening, and the day is far spent' On the Monday Capt. Dawber (by request) have a very interesting Lantern Entertainment at Stanhill, when the room was packed; after the meeting the members kindly handed over to him the sum of £1. They were so taken up with the Church Army work that they said he must come again soon. [...] A Friend”
