“Fiddle D.D.: Captain Hanson lately paid us a visit to give his interesting Lantern Lecture on C.A. work. Although it was a pouring wet night the people turned up splendidly. The lecture was thoroughly enjoyed, and as a result two or three offered to sell Gazetes [SIC], making a total of 12 who sell small numbers. We are trusting they will increase their sales week by week. Our Vicar is very much in love with our little paper, and is praising it wherever he goes. [...]”
